Steve’s aim is to help people into greater wholeness, find strength and reach their full potential. In counselling he will help you to explore life and help bring new perspectives to make changes towards gaining a strong sense of self and awareness especially in relationships. Trauma is an area where Steve enjoys helping clients gain their power back and gain healing in their lives.

Steve uses many counselling approaches including Person-Centred, Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and works well with adults, couples and children in a creative style. His counselling work involves assisting people with trauma, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, addictions, stress, grief, couples and relationships.

Steve is a contract Counsellor at Strength to Strength Counselling and Rangiora Hope Counselling along with being an accredited ACC Counsellor. He has also worked in the community mental health field with Stepping Stones Trust. While working at Stepping Stones, Steve also helped assist a Mindsight group course at Hillmorton Hospital. He has also run Your Choices for Men Courses in Rangiora and twice been assistant lecturer at Laidlaw College in the Counselling programme.
