I have had the privilege of assisting and working alongside children, young people and their families for the past 32 years. I have successfully worked with people experiencing addiction, sexual abuse, relationship break down, adoption, harmful sexual behaviour, family violence and other trauma.

I have worked for both Community and Government agencies with people involved in care and protection, youth justice and criminal justice acts. I have also worked in schools, family group homes, specialist treatment centres and in families homes in the community. I have held a number of roles including social worker, residential counsellor, senior trainer and team leader.

In working together I use a respectful, non-judgemental, strengths based, solution focused approach. I also use skills such as trauma informed practice, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioural therapy and narrative therapy. I aim to build a professional, safe and trusting relationship, where open and honest communication can occur, in order to help make positive changes.
