Lynne is a mum to twin boys, who now have lovely wives, & a wee mokopuna. She has 2 cats & has had MS since 1992. She is an ex-biker - her balance is now too bad to ride.

Lynne has a background as a registered psychopaedic nurse (people with learning difficulties), then general & terminal care nursing in London.

Lynne has been counselling since 2010 & has spent all of that time working in her local men's prisons until the end of 2023, as well as having a small private practice.

She started with a diploma, & then completed a degree when it was offered.

She has specialised in sexual issues. This is a wide range of topics that encompasses just about everything from addiction & offending, to gender & orientation, kink & pornography, through to the question of whether Christians are even allowed to enjoy sex (which they are).

Lynne is ACC registered.

She has been upskilling in the area of working with people with trauma. She is enjoying the interface between trauma, somatisation, & neuroscience, with a very recent dive into internal family systems.

She was conferred with life membership of the Canterbury Multiples club in 2004 for services to the club.

Lynne has been on the governance board of the Drug Injecting Services Canterbury since 2010.
