Approach
Tina provides a relaxed welcoming space and has a practical, down-to-earth approach. Each person is valued, heard and can explore their concerns at their own pace. Her therapeutic approach is influenced by systemic perspectives, narrative therapy, dyadic developmental psychotherapy, attachment and trauma research, motivational interviewing and psychoeducation.
Tina considers it important to understand people in their context – their personal self, relationships, family, culture and community. She aims to enhance personal wellbeing and strengthen relationships. With her mental health experience Tina can provide information and help people find strategies to manage concerns such as anxiety and depression. Individuals can talk through personal experiences / trauma, the effects on day-to-day life and find ways to heal and move forward positively.
