Emma has worked in the public sector for over 25 years,including as a counsellor in a range of different settings for the last 10 years. She currently works as a counsellor in the Health and Wellbeing Service, at St John of God Waipuna, and one day a week in private practice. She is an accredited ACC counsellor.

Emma offers a friendly and safe environment and she enjoys engaging with people from all walks of life. Emma is empathic and compassionate and believes in working alongside clients so that they facilitate their own change leading to self-growth, empowerment and overall improved well-being.

Emma uses the counselling modalities of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) and solution focused therapy underpinned by her formative training in person-centred counselling.
