I have been working for the past 21 years, predominately with youth and some adults firstly at Odyssey Youth and then The City Mission. I am passionate about counselling and especially love seeing people benefit from therapy. I work with issues such as anxiety, depression and trauma, abuse, loss and grief.

Also, I am a substance use disorder counsellor. Sometimes all of these issues are interlinked.

I would describe myself as a Person-Centred Counsellor and an admirer of the work of Carl Rogers. For those who like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy I have a PG Certificate in that and I use the A.B.C. model which I find helpful.

I recently studied Mindfulness and have found that that can be helpful; for some people. My goal is to continue learning more about counselling as there is always something happening to spark my interest.

In my spare time I enjoy watching movies, spending time with my dog Ringo and I enjoy Buddhist Philosophy.
