Maha Galal is an esteemed Therapist and clinical social work leader, renowned for her expertise in trauma recovery and empowerment. She has received New Zealand's highest royal honor, the Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MNZM), for her therapeutic empowerment projects aimed at victims of the 2019 terrorist attack in New Zealand.

Before moving to New Zealand, I worked as a Social Worker in the Emirates and supported community development initiatives. and SW at Hillwan University (Egypt) and school as well, My focus was on fostering resilience and well-being among diverse cultural groups.

With over a decade of experience in mental health and trauma counseling, Maha specializes in working with diverse cultural communities. She holds a NESP (New Entry to Specialist Practice) postgraduate certificate in trauma from AUT, a certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from Otago, and a bachelor's degree in social work from Egypt. She is also a qualified supervisor .
