Nishal is a registered Clinical Psychologist with over 13 years of experience in assessment, and treatment of a wide spectrum of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, and trauma. Nishal specialises in clinical psychology and has a special interest in neuropsychology and psycho-oncology. Nishal has extensive experience working with clients from different ages, cultural and religious backgrounds.
Nishal provides a safe environment for his clients in therapy with an empathetic and non-judgemental approach. He aims at helping clients develop healthy lifestyle, build resilience, and facilitate a process of becoming their own therapist in the long run.
Nishal draws on a variety of therapeutic styles to meet the individual needs of his clients which includes Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) etc.
Work Experience
Nishal has wide work experience spanning across teaching, training, research in a university to working as consultant clinical psychologist in several private and public hospitals. Nishal has worked in diverse domains such as adolescent and adult mental health services, addiction medicine, community mental health services, psychiatric and neurological rehabilitation services.
